Founded in 1917 by animal welfare pioneer, Maria Dicken CBE, PDSA, is the UK’s leading veterinary charity.  Operating through a UK-wide network of 48 Pet Hospitals, PDSA provides free and low cost veterinary care to the sick and injured pets of people in need and promotes responsible pet ownership.

We exist to provide compassionate vet care.  We’re here for the person and their pet as a family.  We strive to prevent illness, suffering and unnecessary death of pets; to educate people about the welfare needs and value of pets in society; and to treat sick and injured pets within vulnerable communities across the UK.

Every year we help nearly half a million pets, providing 2.5 million veterinary treatments, and support more than 600,000 pet owners.

But we couldn’t achieve all of this without our wonderful colleagues, supporters, volunteers, donors and partners.

Nigel Spencer, Director of Fundraising at PDSA, said “We’re very pleased to be working with Clothes Aid.  We know that donating clothing to good causes is very popular.  All funds raised from our partnership will go towards providing free and low cost vet care to sick and injured pets of people in need.  Saving pets and changing lives is what PDSA does every single day”.
