Clothes Aid is not a charity, we are a social business.
Our mission is to support UK charities and protect the environment by transforming clothes into cash on their behalf.
All costs of the charity partnership are paid for by Clothes Aid, allowing charities to focus on delivering their vital services while Clothes Aid generates the funds.
Clothes Aid is unique in the third sector as we offer each of our charities a minimum donation every year. Even if we don’t collect enough clothes to reach this target, Clothes Aid will make up the difference.
This enables us to give over £1.4 million every year to our selected UK charities with any profit the company makes reinvested into the business.
We believe clothing collections should be transparent and clearly inform the public about how much money goes to charity.
On all our clothing collection bags we note our annual minimum guarantee and also state the amount per tonne of clothing collected that will go to the charity.
